Workshops
Our workshops are offered on two successive weekday evenings, or as a full day, (Saturday or Sunday), workshop. We offer refreshments, and for full day classes a lunch is provided. We also have a full weekend retreat- lots of learning, relaxation, and fun!

End the Obsession Workshop 2005
Start the new year off right with this soul-nourishing workshop that enables you to get the bottom of your food and weight obsession-- quickly! Facilitated by Michelle Morand and Karen Stein, our New Year's workshop is an anti-dote to yet another diet and exercise programme. Letting Go of Compulsive Eating
In this two day workshop, (Saturday & Sunday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm), with CEDRIC Centre founder and Counsellor Michelle Morand, learn where your overeating behaviour came from, why it has been so hard to change, and what you can do to start letting go of compulsive eating once and for all. $250.00 + GST Including meals.

Come to this workshop and you will gain valuable skills to start healing your relationship with food, and body. In a safe and comfortable environment, we will lead you through this day of self-exploration, and help you to understand what is behind your relationship with food, and what you can do to change it.
The Healthy Expression of Emotion
In this workshop you will learn why the healthy expression of emotion is so challenging. Gain insight and the skills to start identifying and expressing the root of your emotions in the moment. Experiment with a new, safe, and effective way of expressing yourself that enhances your relationship with others, and with yourself.
Healthy Sexuality
Due to the persistent societal taboo against the healthy expression of female sexuality, many women still find themselves struggling to connect with their sexual selves. Learn how to unearth your innermost needs, communicate them effectively, and feel comfortable with your sexuality. In this mature, respectful group, we'll offer participants a new paradigm for sexuality that creates the space for a balance between mind, body, and spirit.
Healthy Expression of Anger
Anger is a message. Most women are taught that anger is an ugly emotion, and from a very early age, we are encouraged to keep that ugly emotion to ourselves, while we present a happy face to the world. We can hide the feelings, but they still exist. And, when left unexpressed, they seep out when we lash out at the wrong people, at the wrong time or through depression, when we turn our anger inward. Focus your anger into a healing force. Learn to attend to the messages that underlie your anger, and give yourself the gift of expression, and honest communication.
Infertility Support
Anger, depression, fear, and, envy often emerge from the crisis of infertility. Infertile couples often struggle with guilt and isolation, and feel unable to cope with the reactions of family and friends, the martial strain, and, simultaneously survive the stress of treatment. Our workshops will help participants to manage issues such as: the doctor-patient relationship, how to encourage communication between partners to keep the relationship strong, and how to have a spontaneous and mutually satisfying sex life. We'll also discuss the options open to a couple like, adoption or a childfree life, while we address grief, mourning, and coping strategies.
Enhancing Your Self-Esteem
This workshop is designed to help you to effect change in current feelings about yourself. Explore the causes of the critical feelings and messages you have internalized about yourself, stemming from events that have impacted your life. Through group discussion, and thought provoking exercises, you will identify what you truly feel about yourself, what you would like to feel about yourself, and how to begin making the transition old to new.

Join us to explore how you got into this mess and what you can do to get yourself out of it, without wreaking havoc in your personal, and professional life.
Recreating the Mother-Daughter Relationship
If you have ever wished to have a better relationship with your mother or sought to understand why communication between you and your mother is so difficult at times and can leave you feeling hurt and misunderstood, this program is for you. We will use discussion, story writing, and enactment to identify the characteristics of our ideal nurturing mother, and develop ways to carry forward that ideal to our day-to-day relationships with ourselves and our mothers.
Postpartum Depression
Has the birth of a child left you with feelings of inadequacy and an inability to cope? Has sleep deprivation and parental stress left you feeling sad, confused, or anxious? This group will provide a safe place to receive emotional support and information on additional resources available in your community. You'll also discover you aren't alone in your emotional struggle to adjust as a new mother.
Healing Depression
It is a recognized fact that many of us who suffer with depression do so as a result of emotional repression and unmet needs. Many clinical studies have shown that the symptoms of depression are alleviated and often completely disappear when clients are able to fully express their needs and emotions effectively. If you have been diagnosed with depression or frequently feel flat and disinterested in much of life, let us show you some techniques for lightening your emotional load and saying goodbye to depression in your life.
These workshops are offered year round and, in most cases, specific dates are set once we have received the necessary, minimum registration.
